I have a ROG STRIX Z390-H ROG STRIX Z390-H GAMING motherboard.
It has : 1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode) 1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (SATA mode & X4 PCIE mode) My question is for gaming.I want to put all games on a single drive Is it better to place on a NVME drive or Assad drive or does it matter for gaming. Thank you. ps The first Nvme has the operating system on it |

A SATA SSD is just fine for your games library. That's what I use. Annoying note: the loading screens are 2-3 seconds which is too durned fast to read the game tips I like.
I'd save the NVMe space for apps and stuff. You may need it. Edited by Cretae - 01 Aug 2020 at 4:51am |
