Stage 1

My pc been in stage 1 for a month now is this cuz of my specs?

Likely cuz the new Ryzen chips aren’t coming till January. AMD bit the shed with their deal and hasn’t been supplying DS like they expected.

I’ve been through all five stages of grief, and you likely will too

I believe all AMD 5000 series are on back order til sometime in January. Im in the same boat for a 5950X

I’ve heard that orders don’t get moved out of stage 1 without being assigned a CPU. My guess is it’s a CPU supply thing

I’ve been on stage 1 since December 1st with the same cpu. This finally gives me some hope

Well I'm not feeling good after an email from Alex stating
"that processor is now pushed to February, it could go longer. I suggest that you change to the following model for a credit of $126 as well — "AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (16-Core) 4.7 GHz Turbo” — let me know."

His statement/email came BEFORE the status 2 change, so I sent him an email for clarification but no looking good

Great specs! I've priced out similar builds recently, and unfortunately, my hesitation/reluctance to order has cost me the $500 holiday promotional discount (and the free copy of COD!). Kicking myself for that right now, but having seen so many people waiting for 5000 chips to come in (not willing to do a 10th gen Intel build or a Zen 2), I sat on a prospective order. What are your intentions with your build? Seems stacked for just about any use you could think of!

Just got an email from Alex stating " We don’t have the processor yet, please let me know if you would like to wait or change to the suggested offering I sent yesterday. We can also consider changing you to an Intel processor if you wish."

I'm hoping Nav's statement "Please wait till EOD tomorrow, a 5950X may have been assigned but not scanned to your order yet as it was done in batch." that the MAY HAVE BEEN means YES.

A little confusion but have my fingers crossed. That's odd. I read in another thread that they don't put orders into stage 2 unless they have the cpu. Hopefully, that's true. I'm also in the same boat as you. My build has a 5950x and 3090 and I just get put into stage 2 yesterday after being stuck at stage 1 for almost 2 months.

I read that too so it just adds a little to MY confusion. I just hope 5950Xs and 3090 are either here or arriving shortly for us
