Is this any good I'm curious I like to do fewer maintenance on my rigPlus the Dual radiator is quiet attractive versus standard Watercooling (399). Can I max at 4.2ghz with this?

No, you'd be over 80°C load temps before you even hit 4.0GHz.

The Asetek Liquid CPU cooler is just LC for the sake of saying it is LC. It isn't exactly known for its construction quality or reliability either. Its cooling pales terribly compared to real LCing, even good air coolers such as either of the Noctua models offered by DS will outperform it, especially the larger Noctua NH-D14. Select one of the Noctua coolers instead.

and 0 upkeep, unless you count cleaning the dust off when you open up your case to clean the dust off everything

You can do 4.2GHz on a Noctua air cooler, what is the point of going with an expensive water cooling system?

The water cooling system is more maintenance actually. Depending on what kind of radiators it has they can be harder to dust, plus you have to top off the water every so often. After long enough you'll probably want to do a full flush and refill too.

My current PC is watercooled I don't mind draining the coolant. Plus I like to push my rig a bit higher

Hard to push much higher than 4.2GHz, but fair enough, if it's in your budget without sacrificing anything else then it doesn't really matter either way.

what is it you plan to do with all of these cores over 4.2? with a hex core youd have 12 logical threads over 4.2
if all you do is game, thats near-rediculous overkill

you know thats incredibly cost inefficient i assume

Umm I said I'm downgrading from a 980x to 960 Quad. Getting a Hexacore later down the future when the price drop and when the new intel Mobo and processor that not compatible X58 motherboard becomes available. As of right now I don't plan on getting it.

so you know a 930 and 960 are the exact same chip, the 960 is just factory overclocked a tiny bit and Intel charges hundreds of extra dollars for it, go figure. Seeing as they both overclock exactly the same and perform exactly the same at identical overclock settings, as they are indeed exactly identical chips, go with the 930 and save yourself exactly $305. And then pat yourself exactly on the back. Exactly.

Not that you're getting a 980X anymore, but to expound on that more: Completely pointless for gaming, and will be for years and years. Almost no games are programed to make use of that many threads, most don't even use more than 2.
