Hi this is my first time buying a digital storm prebuild and was just curious as to how long the stages last for as my build has been on stage 3 for about a week. Does anyone know when I should be seeing progress on my build? By the way it was ordered on 8/4 and entered stage 3 8/16. Sorry if I sound entitled, I’m just very excited.

Not sure. I have an order that went to stage 3 on Thursday. Is your system fairly default or did you do a lot of customization?

Stage 1 07/28/23 - Backlog Queue
Stage 2 08/04/23 - Pending Inventory
Stage 3 08/09/23 - Pending Assembly ... still stuck in this stage

You're not alone!

I ordered mine, custom, on the 11th and it moved pretty quick from stage 1 to stage 3 on the 18th. Its been there since then.

Best bet would be to call them to ask if you're curious.

I just called for my order status. The DS representative was very kind and explained that the backlog is very high right now, that they are trying to staff appropriately.. and target for stage 4 for me is no later than Sept 8 which would mean about 1 month in stage 3 . The DS rep noted it wasn't a parts issue but purely production and DS is trying to work through it all as quickly as possible.

Given my progress outlook.. I am not sure how jason2373 is getting his order delivered so quickly since his order was placed after mine?

Isn't your order a bit more custom though? Maybe more customized systems require people with a bit more experience vs those people who ordered much closer to their standard baseline? what time estimate did they give you on your order?

When I placed my order on July 28, I had email corresponded with DS the same day and was told 3-4 weeks given it was not holiday season.

I guess the Noctua fan is not the default CPU cooling but does not seem high complexity (to me at least). I also had a Noctua DH14 installed in my DS build from 2014 so in my mind it's not new, cutting edge tech. Other selected parts seem pretty standard. Maybe I'm wrong though.

It would probably be best to call DS and ask if your timeline is still applicable. As each PC moves through the stages at a different pace yours might be further along than anticipated.
