Stage 7 and shipping

This is just one to calm my nerve,

My computer has been in stage 7 since Wednesday. My question is once it's completed do they ship it out immediately or is their a specific day...?

This is a semi-educated guess... If you've ordered the really big, heavy, crated/palleted Aventum or some such model, you're looking at Friday pickup as these go with a freight company and not the usual suspects (Fedex, UPS, etc)... and can take a little while to get to you as these stay on the trucks all the way to your door.

If you ordered a "regular" machine and didn't pay for expedited shipping you're looking at a daily, or alternate day pick up, depending on the volume of orders to be shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if your machine was ready yesterday (Friday) and didn't actually move until Tuesday (worst case scenario).

If you purchased the expedited shipping you're put at the head of the line. When the machine is ready it hits the the next available outbound ride and starts its ride to you as soon as physically possible. But, even saying that, if it's ready on Friday afternoon it might not hit the shipper until Monday.

Now, once it gets to the shipper you're looking at a minimum of 3 days to get to you, 5 is average and 8 if you're rural east coast. It's basically a waiting game from the Stage 7 email to your machine arrival. You will (supposed to anyway) get a tracking number and you'll feel the need to mash your refresh button on the tracking site but that does not make it move any faster.

All I can say is "hang in there, it will be worth the wait."

Expedited shipping, Stage 7 on Wednesday, should be yesterday afternoon or Monday at the latest. Have you seen a tracking number yet?

So here's an update for everyone, i got the Stage 7 email Wednesday and JUST got a customer service email reply stating "Your PC should be shipping out sometime between Monday - Friday"

This is the biggest joke I've seen in a while.

Got email on 31 December saying final stage complete and rig will ship within 1 business day.  Well, that was 5 days ago and nothing...no update, no rig, no shipment notification, nothing.

Mines been stage 7 since Thursday sept 30th but i have no tracking number yet either it’s currently Tuesday oct 5

I have an assumption they put the order in stage 7 to appease the customer, but it’s somewhere between stage 5 and stage 6, I say this because If you call in, they don’t provide any information, say the shipping manager is not in right now, and promise to provide an update but never do. This is the 3rd system I’ve purchased from DS. And I’ve had this issue every time, so it is not due to the pandemic, or fedex, or whatever they May Say.    They make quality rigs, but the ambiguity of the process is frustrating as a consumer. I’d rather they tell me they’re waiting on parts with an ETA, than tell me it’s in stage 7 with no info. I don’t mnd if it takes another 3 weeks, just tell me that.
