Well, if mine follows the same route that yours did it should be finished by friday haha. Mine is pretty similar to yours as well. I also bought a 24 in screen, along with a keyboard, mouse, and 5.1 speakers lol. I just hope shipping doesn't take too long seeing as DS is located in Northern part of Cali and i'm down in south cali!

Though now i'm really worried, You went through it all in 4 days. I ordered last thursday, was at stage 5 on friday and i'm still on stage 5 as of early today. *starts nodding head like a madman* Patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue ... Wink

I was really considering picking it up but I think shipping will be just fine lol. Only thing i'm worried about is that i'm going to baja california next weekend (friday-monday). So i'm hoping that i can get it before I leave. Maybe i'll get mine within 3-4 days after it ships since i'm so near DS lol.Heart

6 days for mine to arrive to Michigan too...I was antsy, but, as many have said before me, the wait was worth it.  Flawless operation so far, so quiet I forget the darned thing is even there...my central air sounds loud now compared to this... Ermm

Mine got here to Florida in 7-days...spent three just getting out of California Smile

The day of arrival...I just happened to hear the FedEx truck pull up...and by the time I got to the driveway...the FedEx guy (though sizable) was attempting to muscle my crate out the front of the truck and down the stairs--all I could visualize was him losing his grip and it sliding with a crash to the pavement--right here in front of me at the very end of its long trip Big%20smile.  I yelled, let me help you with that...to which he said "I think I can get it?"...  T-h-i-n-k, at this stage he "thinks" he can get it...he better be sureAngry

Honestly, getting the crate was like getting insurance...I really didn't want to pay "extra" to have something delivered in a wooden box that PROBABLY would be fine in a cardboard one.  Some have suggested that at some point...it makes sense to get one...like if your machine is over $4000.  But, setting an arbitrary dollar figure really doesn't make too much sense either...and just where is the cut-off between worth "insurance" and not-worth "insurance"?  So, as much as it seems I'm not answering the question...what I am saying...is each person has to decide.  All in all...DSO makes good on those damaged...so, is a crate really necessary?  If you don't mind waiting a couple of more "weeks" for a second delivery...and a quick sampling of forum posts will tell you how "patient" we ALL are when it comes to getting what we want--when we want it Big%20smileSmileSmileSmile      One other thing...and I've mentioned this before...if you foresee trips back to DS for upgrades/maintenance etc... then a crate will come in handy then too.  Maybe it seems ironic...but, the more trips back and forth...the less expensive the crate becomes...    Being the type who (seems to look for an excuse to worry...) just thinking of the sleepless nights I'd have worrying about my pride-and-joy traveling without armor is enough to put a smile on my face every-time I see my crate sitting there in the garage--just in case--if you know what I mean.  LOL

I am close but soooo far. Stuck in Sacramento for appointment today. Then home (near Reno, NV). It is funny how almost every post in these forums teaches me something. I did not get my machine crated, but I live only about 5 hours from DS, and if (shudder shudder) I need to have my toy serviced in the future, I'll just road trip it back to it's birth place.

BTW, this timing is torture. My monitor and computer may be delivered today (good), and I will not be home until late afternoon (bad). Since no one will be home to sign for them (really bad), I may not get them until Monday!!! What a waste of a perfectly good weekend.

Hope that you all have a great weekend.
