So here is a general question for all the seasoned DS owners out there.
Upon reciept of a new system I have seen a video DS has put out, which explains the unpacking and prep activities to prepare your system for operation. Now what I would like to know, is what would be the initial start up activities most people would recommend to "check out" their new system?
I have seen many utilities like CPU-Z, GPU-Z, HWMonitor, ect............
1. What tool would you recommend.........?
2. How would you use it..........?
3. What order would you use them in........?
Thanks for your recommendations.

I would be interested in the responses on this as well. also if you have your rig, in the binder in about the middle is a basic check list for new owners. It does not contain the questions you've listed.
Bill
And do you need the programs?

Thanks DST,
Is there also a utility which allows you to check your RAM? I think I heard of one, but do not know the name.
Also, I heard that one has to be run from you CD-Rom, is that the one for the Ram test or is it one of the ones listed?
Thanks, Edited by Sa-bot - 20 Jan 2010 at 2:56am |

you are talking about memtest, you need to burn it to a cd and then boot off of it, but that is for testing your ram.
for ram info just check the memory tab in cpu-z Edited by DST4ME - 20 Jan 2010 at 3:34am |

Seems like alot of these test would of already been ran when they check your system through thier QC checks.
Doesnt make it any less fun to do but still...
