I am not the smartest man in the world but I am really curious what is the Steam Operating System supposed to be and do?
I do 95% of my gaming through Steam and am wondering if I should get this or not. I need to know what it is first.

Can someone help me out here?

That's an excellent question. Big%20Smile   The more I look into it the more confused I get.

It seems that it offers a cheap, lightweight (software and hardware ), Linux based system to mount in you living room, to stream content to your tv from Steam.    It seems to be geared to gaming, etc on the family tv and not the pc monitor.   With a Steam box, you can stream your pc games that live in your much larger DS rig   to the Steam box, using the box just to receive and send it to the tv instead of lugging your huge gaming box into the living room.  The gaming rig does most of the work.

I guess the OS makes it  easier access to all the Steam content.

I'm sure those that have much better info, and support it, will correct me.  Hahaha

If that is the basic info in a nutshell then I won't be inclined to use it. I am old school I sit in front of my Hailstorm and game on my 27" HP monitor, also old school.

Thanks again for the info Bprat

I'm with you.  I'm a basic gamer in front of my monitor type of guy and probably wouldn't have any use for it.    Big%20Smile

But, things are a- changing.  Just not for me.  Hahaha
