I'm not much of an Apple fan, but I have to admit, Jobs did significantly advance the consumer tech industry through his innovation (iPod, iPhone, iPad, Unibody Chassis, Simplistic UI, etc.) and through his strong competitive position in the market. Will be missed by all.
I'm very curious in Apple's future though. Also, does anyone find the timing kind of odd given how recently iCloud was released.? Edited by ablahblah - 06 Oct 2011 at 5:30pm |

I'm not a big fan of apple either I think jobs was a good person tho, he helped charities a lot and did help people, tho I can't say I agree that he invented anything, long before iphone came out many of us were using touch screen smart phone and with mods like spb shell we were pretty much doing what the iphone did, as far as touch screen and flipping thru photos and etc goes, all apple did was make it look glossy and it caught everybody's eye, but we were doing that stuff years before anybody thought of the idea of an iphone.
but I still think he had a view on life that most did not and that is why he was successful, cause his vision was unique for his time, ms could have done that with their mobile phones but they didn't have that vision and that is what I believe we will all miss with him gone that and his charitable tendencies, R.I.P. |

Steve Jobs created stuff to appeal the lesser knowledgeable people of PC's. Make it look good and then sell it and claim that its less likely to get hacked based off the OS coding. We all know this, imo he established a firm key role in marketing. Definitely a brilliant person..
