I have a computer purchased from -------------- in January of this year (11 months ago).
The computer works for several weeks than crashes - the Intel boot screen asking for a boot disc, disc read error screens, etc. -------------- swapped out the motherboard in August. This month they sent me a replacement hard drive. Still the same problems. Clearly they aren't up to solving basic computer problems - 11 months and I'm still without a working computer (thank god for my cheap little HP Slimline). So, question - do you think Digital Storm would, for a fee, fix my computer? Just curious. I still have a year on my -------------- warranty but it's useless to me as the computer never gets fixed. Actually, I wonder if one of the moderators could change the title of this thread to Fix My -------------- in NYC? I posed the original question somewhat tongue in cheek because I'm sure DSO doesn't want to stoop to dealing with --------------'s problems but maybe there's someone in the DSO community in NYC who might want to get involved, for a fee of course.
Just an idea. Edited by Alex - 20 Nov 2011 at 11:19pm |

Alex or someone would have to give you a final answer on this but I would guess the answer would be a no. It's not their system so for them to work on it would open themselves up to potentially liability issues. The rig obviously has it's share of problems and they more then likely would not want to assume responsibility for those problems by working on it.
I would seriously explore your options with that other company for either a full RP or a refund. If you have documented proof that this thing has been junk since you got it you probably have some recourse available. They will more then likely fight you on this but you need to read the fine print very closely and take a firm stance against them if they are unwilling to help. Also look in to the consumer protection laws both in your state and the state that -------------- is located in as they have to abide by the laws of where ever they are located and where ever they do business. @arail,
First off, welcome to the forums. I am sorry to hear that you're having issues with one of our competitor's systems. I had to remove their name as we're a business after all and we can't be hosting competing brands on our company forums. On a different note, we're more than happy to help but, it's going to cost in parts and labor from us. If you're interested, feel free to email me directly with all of your details: [email protected]

DSO -
Thanks for the reply. I realized after I went to bed that it wasn't wise to post your competitors name in that fashion so I have no objection to your deleting it. Right now the other company is offering to build me a new computer. If that avenue fails I'll get in touch. Have a good day. |
