I upgraded a friends computer from XP to vista and im stuck at a really low resolution, it wont let me change it, the computer doesnt have a video card, and only has two options for its resolution, but i cant select the higher one, any recommendations other than buying a video card.

that is a typo right? the pc does have a gpu? I'm assuming the answer is yes then tell me the brand and model of the gpu |

well on board video might just have those 2 options due to lack of driver support for vista, not sure, but at the end its a driver issue like you said.

Well it says that intel R graphics driver is installed, but it doesnt allow me to select a higher resolution.
And yes, its onboard video.
