I am very saddened to hear that you are giving up UPS to switch to Fedex....very sad indeed...I was planning on getting my rig from DSO but now im not so sure...you see I work for Fedex and deal with shipping issues daily...I would be willing to pay extra to have my rig shipped UPS..hopefully that would be possible..I'm sure UPS is not perfect but I do know how things go with Fedex..and If I had a choice...well I would rather see what brown could do for me today..Thanks..Workingman

I wish it was as easier than this.

Yes, we can definitely ship via UPS for you.

Workingman, I hope brown doesn't do for you what it did for me. When I received my computer back from an RMA it came complete with a dent in the left rear corner, a foot knocked off, one of the case screws bent so bad it broke off when I turned it to remove it from the case, and my CPU cooler now sitting at about an 98 degree angle over the CPU from being dropped! To my amazement the computer is running fine,. Thank god she likes it rough.

the risk would likely be equal either way, which is unfortunate, but thats what happens when companies get that big... which is why we shop here Smile

Here is what I can tell you about shiping and my DSO rig:

When I originally purchased my rig, I sprung for the 3 day air.  It came via DHL.  When the guy showed up, the box was perfect, clean and he brought it to my house from the truck on a hand cart.

When UPS was supposed to pick up my rig from my house for the RMA, they never showed on the day they promised.  I called and made a complaint (never have heard back from a supervisor on that).  The next day I called again and the call center person assued me they would be there by 1100 hrs.  They were, amazingly, and I had to carry it out to the truck myself (nice, uh?).

When they brought it back following the RMA, they UPS driver was rolling the box end over end to deliver it to me. They box was filthy, one corner of it crushed in (thankfully the machine was not harmed) and the box was wet and looked like someone had spilled a soda on it.
