Does Digital Storm now only offer certain pre-selected towers and products for builds now? My first PC I ordered back in 2011, I was able to choose from an extensive list of options for every component. Maybe I am missing that in a drop down menu somewhere, but so far the options for customization seems very limited. What gives?

Welcome back. 

You have found what we have been seeing going on for a while. DS has been slowly migrating to offering private label hardware (DS branded) and removing brand options.

You can still get different hardware but you have to special order and pay more.

It's unknown how much this trend owes to the broken supply chain worldwide. This is no time to assume anything will be the new normal once things stabilize. It's also no time to assume DS will be able to honor special orders, IMHO.

I believe this trend started some time before 2020... if DS stops allowing the ordering (and paying) for specific hardware then it is not the DS I remember. Cry

Not to panic, yet, my friend. I simply mean that it would seem very difficult at present for DS to assure anyone that they could secure a specific brand/model within any reasonable time frame. You may rest assured that business people everywhere are doing all in their power to get a piece of the expanded supply chain and eliminate shortages. Patience.
