I'm curious...how long does it take the average computer to get through Stage 3?
My girlfriend and I both ordered systems on March 14th and 15 respectively. My system (#6484) only hit stage 3 last Friday. However, my girlfriend's system (#6491) has been in stage 3 since the 18th.
So...any insight from folks that have been through this process??

Mine is in Stage 3 as well and has been since 18 March. My philosophy is that it is in Stage 3 until it isn't. The longer they want to test my components is fine with me. I am just assuming something did not pass and they are re-testing the replacement.
It is either that or an Illuminati/Trilateral Commission/Counsel on Foreign Affairs/New World Order conspiracy.

Well today the girlfriend's computer was moved to Stage 5.
I'm still in Stage 3, what's funny about all of this is that I placed my order a day ahead of hers. There were no issues as it relates to gathering my components (Duke informed of this when I called to ask a question right after my order was placed in Stage 2), so I have no clue how her computer got ahead of mine.
Go figure. Edited by traylorc - 24 Mar 2008 at 11:04pm |

It may be a difference in what each of you ordered. Simpler systems tend to make it through the build process more quickly. The more high performance components involved, the more there is to go wrong.
