I mentione the vertex cause if you raid 3 x 30GB or 2 x 60GB, you can get some great speeds, I mean for $360 (3 x 30GB vertex), I can have a setup that will kill an intel.

we can bypass the MLC write problem by simply cloning the SSDs, formating them (secure delete) so clear all units and then restore from the clone, I think that should take care of it, of course this is my theory and not a fact.
