Hey Gang,
 
I finally made it home from overseas, and was able to make my order yesterday...I decided on 618761 (I can feel DST4ME shaking his head in disapproval on some of the choices...Wink). 
 
While I am waiting through some of the longest 15 days of my life for this beast to arive, I wanted to thank all of you guys for the assistance last month in helping me put this together.  While I may not have taken ALL of the advice given, it was all truly appreciated...and the build is much better as a result (not to mention, saving me about a $1.5k in stuff I really didn't need...)
 
To all the new folks / customers here in the forums...the DS forums and the guys like DST4ME are an invaluable resourse...be sure and use them.
 
I would also like to thank DS for ensuring that I got the Black Friday Deal, here in DEC when my deployment ended...truly great customer service, and I will definitely recommend DS to anyone needing a "high-speed" rig.
 
Thanks again...any advice on how to survive the wait? Excited

You the fan controller won't control any of your fans right? and the temps are not accurate?


to be honest other then fan controller and the 580 (unless you are doing 3D), thats a nice build.

make sure:

Ask for vcore lower then 1.4 for your oc.

and also ask them to use xspc "rx" series rads and Scythe gentle typhoon fans on them for best performance (those "rx" series rads are fantastic) and quiet performance.

No, I didnt know the fan controller wouldn't control the fans...why is that? (fortunately, I got it mostly for the bling anyway...but bummer that it doesnt work?)
 
I remembered the 1.4 vcore from our last discussions...I will ask DS about the fans and rads you mentioned...thanks as aways!

The fan controller will work, I think you may have taken that the wrong way. The controller is limited to a certain number of fans, not sure if that may be the confusion.

One thing I saw was that you chose the red tubing and the red internal lighting. If it were me I would switch to the black lights so that your tubes will glow with the UV reactive fluid. Just a thought!

He has no fans to control, you can't control the case fans with it, and the only other fans are gonna be the lc fans and you don't want to mess with those.
