Hey, I haven't posted very much on these forums, but I have been reading through many of the threads.   First off I want to say thanks to all those tech wiz's out there who have been willing to answer questions.  All of your posts have been helpful.

I ordered a rig about 2 weeks ago or less, and have been in pretty close contact with Digital Storm.  Those guys are always helpful and informative.  They should get some female reps tho :-P

May want to check your config again because i don't think the 8800GTX will fit in the Value case (?)

It fits.. AFAIK... barely...

That's *alot* of heat in for that case to handle though. I would at least talk to DSO about the cooling and see if you can get an extra fan or two installed if you can't swing the extra $$$ for a better case and have your heart set on this config. If you can at all afford to do so, I would *seriously* consider moving up to at least a Lite, if not better with that configuration.

I was previously considering upgrading the case to Pro, and down grading the video card to the 8800GT to make up the difference.  Which would also open up the option for the better cabling for improved airflow.

One rep assured me that the Value case would be fine though.   If I wasn't going to overclock I would be more comfortable with the Value case.. so I'll have to call them back on this point.

I paid by money order, so that delayed the processing of my order a bit.   I'm not too concerned with my wait time anyways, I want them to do a good job and take their time LOL

There are just a couple of things that don't make alot of sense on there. I guess I would simply cut $$$ in other places. Like the sound card. Drop to an X-Fi. That's a $113 difference in price.... For next to no difference unless you have need of the very specific feature set upgrades in the Fatal!ty card.

X-Fi: - 113

Pro Case: +70

Cabling: +25

320GB HDD: +8

Lighting *or* extra case fan: +10

total change in price: $0

Now, if you have need of the breakout box, remote control, or whatever on the Fatal!ty, that may not be an option, but a single GTX beats a single 8800GT, and judging by the PSU you picked out, you're planning on running a single card.

Interesting. I was under the impression that the Fatal1ty card offered a significant difference in performance over the X-Fi Extreme gamer.  But I haven't seen any information online supporting that.  I did find one thread suggesting the Fatal1ty only has a few extra features that the common gamer wont miss.

Thanks Tyler, I'm gonna see about making those changes.  After thanksgiving of course.
