Hi!
I just took the plunge and my new dream-machine is in the works ... provided all payment transactions go smoothly. Embarrassed

Just wanted to say Thanks to all the DS Sales and support guys I've bothered over the past weeks. The staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with.

Also wanted to thank the forum members for their contributions and tips, pushed me over the edge as far as getting Vista Ultimate x64. I've been using XP Pro x64 (Desktop) Vista Business (Laptop) and didn't want to fall back into the 'just because I can' category LOL

Eventually I'd like to add a second GTX 280, but hopefully that won't be for awhile. Really wanted to try out ESA but without the compliant watercooling components and that massive 1200W PS, next time ... next time.

Let me know if you have any comments, suggestions or questions. I'll be prowling the forums in eager anticipation of my precious ....

Can't wait to finally play Mass Effect and Crysis. May also just have to see exactly how far Oblivion can be pushed.

[Edit] Now for some questions;
Do any of the fans on the chassis have LEDs? If so should I bypass the additional lighting?
I have opted for a dual boot setup, XP Pro and Vista Ultimate x64, will DS partition the drives so that each OS is on it's own partition? C:\ Vista, D:\ XP, E:\ Data - Apps?

Gratz on a killer looking system from your Sig.

My experience with DSO so far has been they will try to accommodate any request, just make sure you let them know. If you do not tell them you are sure to be disappointed when they send you what they think you wanted :)

In Other words, when spending a fortune... talk to everyone involved... twice if need be to insure you are getting what you intended :)

Just made it to Stage 1, I'm sure the guys at the bank are wondering what just happened Ouch

[Edit] Ha! I read some of your earlier post about linking to the DS banner in your sig, don't worry ... I can't even figure out how to subscribe to a thread!

*I believe that's 'too stupid'* /grammar check

I think I called Alex 6 times in the last 2 days of my computer build, I was the epitome of the nervous Nellie and not one time did I catch exasperation in Alex's voice... in fact after several conversations he made arrangements to call me daily with an update until my PC shipped.

On a side note, I still think I called on the days he called me... just because that is how I felt at the time... I had just spent more money on one item than I had ever spent (barring my house and my car) and both of those items I could see, touch, examine, test drive, have inspected before I laid down my money... so it was very hard for me Tongue

Very few companies put that kind of effort into helping their customers.
