So i just found out that my favorite monitor the Asus Vh238H has been discontinued as of August 7, 2014. Which is such as shame because it was the one monitor i recommended to all the new customers on here looking for a monitor. Wonder why it was discontinued?

Course i know you can still get new ones on Amazon but not for cheap. I wonder if Asus will make another monitor in the VH series?

I mean, it's slightly expensive for being just an "eh" monitor. It's older technology. While the VH is (I believe) just a commercial grade monitor, it's still kind of eh on the grade of performance in today's world.

With 1440p monitors that are over 60hz now a days, and the wide range of different panels (IPS and TN), the VH series is kind of ready to be put out to the pasture.

The PB and PG series is where their hearts are currently. Though those are slightly more expensive, but much higher grade.

I do like me a girl that likes ASUS monitors though... ;)

You can buy 23-24" 1080p monitors on Newegg all the time for $100-$120. And We're still talking ASUS/BenQ brands.
