Hey folks,
I got my system today after a 10 week wait through supply shortages. Like many, I reached out to DS during those many weeks, and monitored these forums. I was concerned about some reporting damage in shipping, or instability issues, or receiving a founders card in place of a performance card. Someone else commented that while there are outliers, most of us are pleased with our experience. I can only speak for my own, but I wanted to echo that and share my experience. Once shipped it arrived undamaged, and faster than expected. Its a beautiful machine. The quality is higher than I expected, the cable management great, and the component quality superb. The AIO cpu cooler and tubing quality is better than I expected. The case is extremely high quality. One of the RAM sticks was not fully seated which I thought a bit cliche, but easily fixed. The inventory delays were inconvenient but understandable in the current market. When I did reach out to DS for updates, I was told estimated fulfillment times that differed from those I realized. All in all, I'm still very happy with the purchase and the quality of the product makes up for the prolonged wait, inconsistent communications, and unseated ram stick. Hang in there. You said 1 of the ram sticks was not fully seated? Is there a special way to order dual channel options? All I saw were amounts of ram and brand?

You can make special requests of that type in the Build Comments area at the bottom of the Configurator. DS will get back to you if there is a problem with the request. Like if the motherboard isn't right or it "won't fit" or some such.
There are some ram configs with The Ryzen 5000 series (Zen 3) that can be a bit better than others, depending upon your motherboard and the kind of RAM. It gets a bit complicated, so I won't get into it here. Basically, it's quad channel vs dual channel, but it may well be you would have to special order RAM here to get anything from it. And that's time and money which everyone is already all bent about. Not worth the hassle IMHO. |

Exactly the experience I had, minus the ram stick and my communications were not terrible. The wait was a little longer than I wanted, but the machine is gorgeous and very high quality. I also got an RTX 3080 and an i9-10850K, and as I suspect you're seeing - it is blazing fast and quiet. I agree to anyone seeing this - hang in there. It is worth the wait. |

I actually ordered 2 16gb ram sticks after hearing that dual channel was better in most cases, not sure why I didn't bother to contact the DS team, but depending I may see of I can swap that out and go up to 64 just to utilize all the ram sticks I have Not sure if quad channel would be best though |

64 GB of RAM won't help anything for gaming. Games won't use it. The difference between dual channel and quad channel for Zen 3 is negligible at 3000/3200 MHz. Like I said, it's complicated. Strictly for gaming, RAM speed isn't all that big a deal.

I selected the 32GB option, and I received two 16 GB sticks in dual channel. I did not make a special request. |

Zen 3 is dual channel, whether you opt for two or 4 sticks. The key is to have at least two sticks inserted into the proper slots (e.g., 1 and 3, or 2 and 4). Two sticks inappropriately inserted will only give single channel.
