I was planning on buying a new gaming computer in the spring, but my current machine decided to retire early.

I just ordered my 4th Digital Storm machine. I got the level 3 Virtue with the CPU upgraded to the i7.

Now I'm waiting impatiently, playing candy crush on my phone is no substitute.

Still in stage 1, obviously right before Christmas is a really poor time for your old computer to keel over.

You're on your 4th DS computer? How long have you been purchasing DS machines? And how long have they been lasting you?I just got my first one and I'm thrilled with it. I'm only on my second custom built computer in about 7 years.

I bought my first one in Jan 2008. I usually have at least 2 running at a time, so they are generally lasting me 3+ years before I upgrade.

I do distributed computing so my machines are normally running flat out 24/7. I will usually upgrade the memory and the video card once before I replace them.

I have found them to be very reliable as well as very easy to upgrade, even for a less than tech guy like me. When I first started doing the distributed computing I burned my Dell out in a matter of months.

Edit: This is the first time the old computer has died before I replaced it.
