I have been thinking of getting a new gaming rig and have been playing with various builds.
I play with 1920x1200 resolution and am interested in a smaller ssd with the operating system and 1 game i play the most on it since i have heard fellow players saying that increases their load speeds considerably.
My price range is around 3k and i came up with http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=438558

How does this look?

few things id change.. take a look at the guide linked in my signature
a few things i would change are drop the PSU to 750 or raise it to 1200.. 1000w is too much for 1 480, not enough for 2

id drop the zalman case fans, and the hailstorm case is really more suited for water cooling
