So i'm seriously considering purchase of the level 4 prebuilt vanquish pc, but I have a few concerns.
I read though a lot of the reviews and it looks likes DS has excellent customer service, like seriously good. My problem I guess is that they needed customer service. The vast majority of reviews sing praise about how they got their problems fixed quickly and efficiently but I don't see many which just say for instance: "got my pc and it worked with nothing wrong out of the box, and nothing wrong 6 months later" Im posting this here asking for people's stories/experiences buying from DS, and hoping to receive some like the stated example. It would give me greater peace of mind to see more stories of people who's product worked out of the box. |

I bought my computer from DS early December of 2012 but didn't get it hooked up until February of 2013. I haven't had any problems with it since i've had it except some minor issues that involved a game but i fixed the issue myself.

What a very interesting perspective.
I can tell you that I have a Vanquish II Ultimate for a couple months and the only issues I've had with the computer itself are based upon my own stupidity. I have a number of times contacted DS with questions (or mainly these forums) to fill gaps in my knowledge and dealt with nothing but friendly, knowledgeable and efficient people. ~THIS~, imho, is the epitome of "Customer Service".
Yes, computers fail between manufacturer and consumer. I have worked in the shipping industry for years and can tell you every piece of freight is just another piece of freight. Painting the words "Fragile" on a box means nothing... these folks are paid to move stuff as fast as they can from point A to point B. So, things break.
Here's the difference. DS Customer Service will take ownership of getting the problem fixed... fixed now and fixed right. Whether it's a Digital Storm failure, a component manufacturer failure, a shipping failure or even a customer failure. They want to make sure that their "Brand" is regarded highly in this market.
Not all builders can say that. Look at the ratings sites. BBB ratings do mean something.

.... More to your question: I've had my Vanquish II Ultimate since I drove over and picked it up at Will Call around mid-March.
Not one problem.
The guys out back even helped me seatbelt it into the car.

I bought my level 4 vanquish awhile ago and it is still working fine.
So I can say you can buy it and feel very comfortable in your purchase. |

Another thought came to me... head over to (reseller) and (ratings) (dotcom) and look at DS score and read some reviews. As of this writing DS holds a 9.9/10 rating from reviewers. Then, just for laughs, look at the computer manufacturer's ratings from that company that rhymes with 'Yell'.
You'll find many reviews that say "got my machine and everything is perfect".

My Slade arrived in perfect working order. Unfortunately, I didn't plug the monitor in correctly, so I ended up contacting tech support, but that's all on me, not Digital Storm.
I also had an issue last week that I thought might be a GPU issue, but turned out to be a buggy download of NVIDIA's GeForce Experience. Since that was an update months after I received my system, that's on NVIDIA, not Digital Storm. I suspect what you're seeing is typical selection bias - most people who receive a system in good working order don't see the need to post to the forums about it. |
