New machine, barely two months old.  Windows Vista Deluxe Home Edition, EVGA X58 mb, 3 GB of Corsair 1333 RAM, i920 cpu, 500 GB WD hard drive, iHAS220 DVD/CD RW drive.

Loaded software using my DVD/CD RW drive when I first got the machine, now, Vista won't recognize it.  Vista also says the driver is up to date.  The drive has power (green light is lit) and I've checked the connections and they look good at both ends.

What the heck happened?

I've loaded Office 2003, Thunderbird, Firefox, Nod-32 (antivirus), EverQuest, Java VM, Itunes, Adobe Acrobat, PrintMaster, The Print Shop and QuickTime.  None of these should be interfering with my DVD/CD drive.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
