You can downgrade the ram to 800MHz if you aren't going to be upgrading your CPU in the future.
Take out the lighting and get the pro case. |

Yes that PSU is big enough as long as you aren't going to be going SLI in the future.

The one thing you may want to look at is that by putting the 8800GTX in the pro-case it will reduce the number of internal 3.5" drive bays from 4 to 0. (They have to make room for the Video Card) That being the case you may want to only get one optical drive so that you have the ability to drop a HD in the extract 5.25" bay.
Also, since you are overclocking, you may want to swtich to the A1 Revision MoBo so that you can get a better over clock than with the 680i LT MoBo.

I'd consider getting a 750w PSU for future upgrades since the next gen GPU's power requirements will be nearly double what they are now.

The next gen cards will actually have lower power consumptions than the current 8800s due to the 65nm process and PCI-E 2.0.

Yeah, 65nm is coming from Nvidia, 55nm from ATI this next go round. I expect power consumption to continue to drop too. Without too many details on use, aside from gaming,
Lite --> Pro
750W TT ---> 620W Corsair if you have no interest in SLI with that GTX
2gb 1066 Mhz DDR2 --> 2gb 800 Mhz DDR2
650i --> 680i A1 (for the OC)
500GB HDD --> 2*160GB HDD RAID 0 (unless you genuinely need 500GB of storage)
This build came out to $2373 and should get you better OC, better cooling, and much faster read/write performance from your HDD. If you think you might, at some point, want to move to SLI with the GTX, don't downgrade the PSU.

if you're referring to the next gen cards they won't be out until next year. Spring is what I am thinking

Yeah, everything but the 8800GT is slated for sometime Q1 or Q2 of 2008. My guess is release to coincide with the launch of the new Intel chips. |

90% sure I'll go with this one, is the $25 for cabling worth it?

You have a case you'll be able to look straight into....
Aside from the air flow increase, IMO, yes, having a neatly done wiring job is worth $25.
