Hi. I would like to know if my configuration is okay. I plan on overclocking the cpu and adding a second 560 ti in the future. Can my power supply/cooling options support this? Thanks.

My current monitor goes up to 1600x1050. I plan on getting a new monitor in the future that would allow me to play at 1900x1280.
Desktop will be used primarily for gaming: FPS and RPG. I also care about longevity and would like to be able to play the latest games in 4-6 years with minor hardware upgrades, i.e. installing two new video cards. Edited by ArthurKoQ - 13 Nov 2011 at 2:35am |

My configs most times revolve around a system that lets you max out games now and with a sli/cf upgrade in 2 to 3 years the pc will feel new gaming.
for 1600 x 1200 a 560ti is good but for 1900 x 1200 you gonna want sli 570, specially for future games to come. Now you did a great job of picking components, however I would change the 560 to 570 and the 750w hx to the 1050hx, reason for the 1050hx is proper headroom now and also in the future if you want to upgrade the sli to future cards and they have needs of a 580 sli the 1050hx is the one you gonna want. there are people on the forum whom I helped like 3 years ago and recommended going with the 1000w corsair that are now upgrading sli to 570/580 and are very happy they chose the 1000w corsair 3 years ago vs the smaller psu, Having said that the 750whx can actually handle more power then the 800wgs, so you can squeeze sli 570 on it, but you would be pushing the psu. oh and change oc to stage 1, trust me change it to stage 1 Edited by DST4ME - 13 Nov 2011 at 3:36am |
