whats goin on DS.. some of you guys may remember me , some not.. if you do you know i picked up my first DS rig about 2 years ago (sig).. right before i7 was released. either way ... i think its getting around the time to upgrade my pc.. and well.. what better place to come then here.. so within the next couple months ill be pickin up a new rig.. dunno what imma set my budget at , but i know its gunna be a beast..Feel free to throw some builds at me .. i know DST will chime in on that one..

soonish sandy bridge e comes out (the high end sandy bridge chip) but i think bulldozer might delay it.

I assume its for gaming, what is gonna be the native res of the monitor you will be gaming on?

i don't wanna make the same mistake that i did last time, and buy right before something new comes out.if something new is coming out soon , ill 100 percent wait.. and of course for gaming DST, you know me. lol id say 1920x1200.. i want power house graphics. more then likely 2 cards, unless 1 card is more then enough.. i haven't been able to keep up with new hardware do to work..

for that res the new platform does not really have much to offer you.

but yes there is a new platform coming out in nov and new gpus out in jan/feb.

for your res you looking at around $2800, thats for sli 570, ssd, 2600k etc.

Sandy bride e is just more processing power. But nvidia is on its "tick" soon so there's a new architecture coming 2012 but I don't know when. Haven't been following it that much.
