Time Line

I see quite a few posts asking about time between ordering and shipping so I thought I would post my experience with the Vanquish that I recently got.

I put in my order last Sunday, the 13th, knowing that the offices of Digital Storm keep bankers hours and it would not be processed till Monday at the earliest. (I am not complaining...I am jealous, I would kill for a job with normal hours .)

The next day, Monday, I received two e-mails, the first to tell me my order had been processed, the second to advise me to let my bank know that they would be seeing this transaction come through.

Tuesday saw another e-mail arrive stating that my unit had passed through QC and was ready to go. On the sheet that showed what had been done it mentioned that the Video GPU had also been overclocked. This was an unasked for surprise.

Wednesday I was notified that the PC had shipped, and here was another surprise, it had been shipped 2 Day Business. When I ordered I just went with standard ground shipping. My wife took delivery mid day on Friday the 18th.

I got home on Saturday, unpacked it, fired it up, and guess what?! It not only works perfectly but I am not too confused by Windows 10, (yet).

Remember that this is a pre-built Vanquish, not a spec-built PC so I did not have to wait for assembly.

Now I just have to wait while I download a few games and see how it flies, I am sure that it will meet or exceed my expectations.

That is awesome!! I ordered my custom built on Sept 8th and it is in stage 5 now. I hopefully expect it to ship next weeks (as long as there isn't any problems with the final stress testing). That will fall well within the 10-15 business days they estimate.
