...I'm frankly not too happy right now.  And I in no way direct this at Digital Storm in general, it just happens to be a series of unfortunate events.  So, as some of you know, I placed my system order wayyyy back at the beginning of the month.  It was in stage 5 for nearly two weeks when I decided I go back and alter a few things because of parts not being in stock and personal changes.  Whomever I talked with explained that this would be no problem and the parts that I had selected as replacements were in stock, and the only fee I would have to pay was a rewiring fee, so no big deal.  However, I recieved kind of an awkward email today regarding myself having spoken with DSO today (which is impossible since I was at my college at the supposed time) saying I had spoken with Stella about my system.  Anyway, long story short, apparently the email to change my system was never processed in the first place, so my system was STILL waiting for the out-of-stock parts.  Finally, the helpful person I talked to today (whoever you were, I think it was Cassandra, thank you for being so understanding) passed on the email and explained that my system would probably get shipped sometime next week.

Now, I'm a patient guy and all, but seeing as how Friday will be either the 15th or 16th business day since my order was processed and still will not be shipped, and there was that whole week where my system was idling with nothing to do, am I entitled to like a compensation or anything?  I don't mean to sound rude but, this whole thing has been gnawwing at my backside if you know what I mean.  Not to mention, the fact that I paid for 3-day air shipping seems to be a moot point since it's been so long anyway. :(

Definitely a series of unfortunate events. Perhaps they might refund you the rewiring fee? Hahaha

I just wish that this build could've gone a little smoother.  The rewiring fee wasn't much, just 65$.  But the expedited shipping, on the other hand, was more, and like I said, it seems to have been wasted now.  I've also got to fight nasty comments on my end from my family and friends that I should just cancel the order and take my business elsewhere.  I'm not giving in though; I want this system from DSO, and it'll come, eventually...

@Mortimer,

I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your order.

I looked over the logs to try to pin-point the problem and it appears that the paperwork which has the changes did not properly get printed and sent to the production team.

I'm really sorry about this situation and we'll be more than happy to reimburse you for the rewiring fee you paid. (Which I have just now).

In addition, I'll personally look over your order here at our facility and do my best to get it shipped as soon as possible by checking up on it daily. I have also classified your order as urgent/critical with the Production Supervisor.

Thank you for staying a loyal Digital Storm customer in the end.

P.S.
Feel free to email my anytime with any other questions or concerns at: [email protected]

Warmest Regards,
Alex

Thanks for always appearing in a tight situation, Alex.  I'm glad DSO has people like you that keep people like me loyal customers.  And thanks once again for reclassifying it as critical.  I'll keep on truckin' until it arrives. :)
