It appears to be a system that was configured some time ago with budget parts. I personally think that someone is trolling using a name known to a lot of people. But I am new so....... Good luck if you decide to build yourself. Going back to basics, ah?

My Vanguish is 3 1/2 years old and came with an oc i5-6600k and a oc GTX 970, which would be close to this build. This system you are looking at would probably be OK for awhile, but I would honestly look at the newer processors and gpu cards for ease of game playing, streaming, etc.

You should be using the forums at that site for suggestions. This is a Digital Storm run customer site and they prefer we help those interested in DS computers. DS is flexible but probably don’t want us helping competitors.
Good luck. |

I'm going to repeat myself just in case you didn't read me right the first time:
You would do so much better in every category by going with the fixed-build Lynx #3. Your CPU would be nearly as powerful as an Intel i7 8700, and your motherboard would be waayyy ahead and very upgradeable with a 470 chipset. You would still have 16GB of RAM, but step way up to an RTX 2060 which would be THE card you'd want for gaming at 1080p resolutions. You would not have to upgrade anything but some extra SSD storage for several years with that system. The rig you have built would be very entry-level and unlikely to perform the way you would like it to nearly from day one. Your upgrade paths with that rig would be very limited as well. Now not everything in that post still applies to your latest try, but you still have a sub-par mobo and the RTX 2060 is better than the GTX 1070. You still have to buy an operating system and when everything gets assembled and it happens not to work, trouble shooting is all yours. IMHO, the burn-in and DS support, and the better parts list is well worth the difference. Having said that, I echo bprat22. |

tfg1955.... not a problem, we’ve all helped in similar situations. Thanks for posting. I just have an issue with his deception to get attention. But, that’s me.
Cretae is right on. Can’t beat the Lynx. |
