Welcome etham21.
You will get Stage notices via email to tell you the general progress of the build you ordered, but sometimes they may progress several stages in just a days time... They promise 10-15 business days before they ship... but it is Back to School time and there could be some delays. They will build and properly stress test your new computer before they ship it to you. Waiting is the hard part....if you think it's overdue, you can call them and just ask. HockeyBuck has the right of it... the machines will usually be built and shipped within 10-15 "business days" from order. This does not include weekends or tomorrow's holiday.
A good rule of thumb is to expect the machine a full calendar month from the date of your order. This allows time for building and shipping (unless you've paid for express shipping). Also, as pointed out above, you can always contact them directly via telephone if you have questions regarding your order... or email the guy in charge of getting things done, Alex. ([email protected]) He should be able to set your mind at ease. Hope this helps. We've deleted your other post on the matter as you have started a new thread. Hang in there, it will be worth it. |

When you place an order it needs to move through the stages. All orders start at Stage 1 and you will receive emails when your order progresses through the stages. It will NOT ship until STAGE 7. It takes time. You can also check your order status by going to: Support > My Account on the front page of the Digital Storm Website.
Below is a the list of Stages. |

Oh yeah? I'm starting to hate Digital Storm because I ordered a pc 12 business days ago and it's still on stage 1. Also, Digital Storm promised to ship the pc in 10 - 15 business day. I better see that happen and get an email for my pc tracking number.
... merged with existing thread, reburied 3 year old thread ... Please do not make more duplicate threads when you can simply add to this one. Thank you. Edited by Snaike - 08 Sep 2019 at 2:26am |

Sadly you ordered at the busiest time of the year. This is the time where everyone is trying to get computers because college and school is starting. You most likely are stuck in a stage due to backorder / out of stock parts. I ordered August 7th and haven't received my system yet. I've been in Stage 6 for over a week and I haven't complained once. Be calm and have faith in the Digital Storm team. That 10-15 day promise is more or less what you should expect after hitting stage 7. Here is a summary of everything that happens from start to finish: Stage 1: Pending Production (5-10 Business Days) Your order has been placed into our backlog, our inventory department will begin to allocate the components necessary for your order and add it to our backlog. This stage usually takes the longest depending on how busy we are. Stage 2: Inventory Assigned (2-5 Business Days) A special component bin has been assigned for your order. We then locate components from our inventory and place them inside your component bin. If any components are out of stock, we are then waiting for them to be delivered to our storage center. Stage 3: Initial Setup (1-3 Business Days) The hardware components in your order are now placed into one of our specialized test benches for evaluation. The installation of the operating system, drivers and any applications that are specific to the system you ordered are completed here. Stage 4: Final Assembly (4-8 Business Days) One of our system builders will carefully put together your order as if it was their own, they have a passion to build every system as if it was their own and take great pride in the work they do. Stage 5: Stress Testing (5-10 Business Days) Our team is running a final batch of tests to verify the integrity and stability of your system. This allows us to ensure that every system we ship will be a rock-solid machine for years to come. We will also install benchmark utilities and testing software to correctly monitor your system's performance throughout our stress testing process. Stage 6: Quality Assurance (3-5 Business Days) Your system is undergoing a very detailed quality control analysis. We're inspecting your machine for missing screws, loose cards, checking for special requests, verifying the configuration, and double checking our stress-test results. Our inspectors are trained with an eye for detail and ensure that every system leaves our facility with the art of perfection. Stage 7: Packaging (1-3 Business Days) Our team is carefully preparing your order to be shipped. Things include wiping down the system, preparing packaging materials to ensure safe transit, and mounting the computer and all of your accessories into a box to be assigned a shipping label and shipped. Once it ships within the next 1-3 business days, you will get an email with a tracking number at the end of the day. Edited by FknLeon - 07 Sep 2019 at 10:47pm |

As I mentioned above.. a very good rule of thumb is to expect a ship date of one month passed your order date. (Unless, again, you've ordered the higher end or exponentially more complicated systems.)
Should you begin to have questions regarding the order and the time it is taking to get to you, --contact them!-- There are numerous email addresses to go with the telephone contact information on this site and in your documentation. I'll just put a few here: Head Do'er of Things; Alex ([email protected]) Customer Service Manager; Ronald (ronald@digitalstorm) Sales Manager; John ([email protected]) Edited by Snaike - 08 Sep 2019 at 6:22am |
