OK So I have a lot of files that I want to transfer from this old computer to a new computer that is coming in. This computer is an XP and the new one is a Vista. Is there a fast way to transfer files from this old computer to my new computer that is coming in? Putting these large files on a USB drive is going to be very slow.

Please give me a step by step explanation if possible

Thanks for all your help.

Also tell me if I need any equipment such as wires and other things to transfer these files. Thanks.

(I'm transferring files such as WoW, and other important saved documents and applications, etc.)

You can transfer WoW to another computer without worrying about registry, so I know for sure that I dont have to reinstall. I've been to several posts that say that.

You won't be able to move wow, I mean I'm not sure cause I don't know how it works and saves but if it uses registry you won't be able to move it. if it does not use registry then maybe you can.

you can always add the XP drive to your current vista drive and just drag and drop from one drive to another.

however doing so will make your XP drive not boot to window anymore.
