which is better for gaming?

(EXTRA QUESTION: can i run 3x 295GTX just like tri SLI?)

no you can't run 3 x 295 in sli, with 2 x 295 you are at quad sli already.

as for tri sli 285 vs quad sli 295, they are pretty much the same, in some games the tri sli is like 5fps faster then quad core, in some games the quad core is a bit faster then tri sli and in some games they are the same.

at the end the difference is like 5fps, only in crysis the tri sli is about 20fps faster.

no difference, right now games support only upto quad sli, anything pass that is not seen or used

although cant you config. 3 of the 4 processors for graphics, and the 4th for physic engine?
 
(dont know for sure, been thing of going watercooled quad on my new monster)
Rember things can't be so bad that they cant get worse.

yes but Physx does not improve your fps.
