Trying to install a new SATA drive [SOLVED]

My D: on my digital storm computer died and I am trying to replace with a new drive. I can see that the bios recognizes the new drive but when I boot into Windows I can see it in Device Manager but I do not get a way to format the drive. It does not appear in file explorer either. I have made sure that it is plugged in properly and I even moved the data cable to another SATA port from the original one. Can't seem to figure out how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind. I figured out I had to go into the Computer Management app in Windows and from Disk Management. I am formatting the drive now.
