Is it possible to have Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit and Windows XP Pro 32 Bit On the same system? What is the drawback if any? Also can I install the second system if I am to late to have DS put it on my rig. They are installing Windows 7 Pro only as of now. I have a lot of great software that I run on my XP Pro 32 Bit system now and do not want to lose it to the new system if possible.

well few things

1. yes you can have both, its called a dual boot. during boot time, you choose which os you want to boot to.

2. win7 pro has xp support so you don't need xp.

3. no matter if you use the xp feature of win7 or dual boot with xp 32bit, you will have to reinstall all the software.

4. all of your software should run on win7 with the xp support.
