I’m thinking of getting a laptop for gaming as well as schoolwork, and was wondering if the price difference of the nova 15 and the Avon 17. I was also wondering what things I should add on to the order.

Welcome to the forum Jfig20. Not clear on your question.

The main differences are the screen sizes, battery size/weight, and the different graphics card in each.

They both can use a max of 32 GB RAM, and have two Drive slots for up to a 2 TB drive in each.
