I'll be getting the Bolt 2 soon. I won't get this config but I am considering upgrading to a xeon in the near future. In this post, I just want to know how powerful the Bolt 2 can get.
Budget: unlimited Expectations: highest physical capability CPU 3Ghz+, 16 core, 64gb ram ecc, 12gb vram, 7TB+ storage Are RAID 0 and RAID 1 really impossible in the Bolt 2 Usage: (my actual use) 60% Sketch Pro, Photoshop, 3D modeling, video, music, and photo editing and rendering, web browsing 40% Gaming, Bluray Movies, YouTube, Netflix, Excel, Word, Special Needs: "POWEEEEEERRRRRR!!!" - Jeremy Clarkson Saved Ticket #: https://www.digitalstormonline.com/configurator.asp?id=993704 Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Pre-built Digital Storm Bolt II Exterior Finish: Exotic Paint Finish - Pearl White - Matte Finish Trim Accents: - No Thanks Processor: ? However, what's the best performing motherboard for games and rendering? Would any m-itx fit not just an E5 xeon but what about an E7? I also found this: http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10441648 So, if any m-itx can fit this card, 64gb of ram is possible right? I've been told the Bolt 2 can handle 2HDD's or 1HDD + 2SSD's or 4SSD's. Would it be possible to mod the case to fit 2HDD's + 1SSD or 2SSD's? Just wondering about 14TB capability in the Bolt 2: x2 6TB Seagate + x2 1TB SSD 840 EVO Here's my main question: What's the biggest overkill Bolt 2 configuration possible? I mean like stupidly overkill... |

A quick search revealed some 1150 socket Xeon i3 motherboards, but I didn't see anything with a 2011 socket.
