I was wondering if there are any "new products" that are in the works to be added to the DSO config page?

new products as in other options? If parts you want are not on the customization page, you can always call them to order the parts.

or do you mean new products from intel and nvidia? The 8800 GT releases Oct 29th, Nvidia 780i on Nov 12th, 8800 GTS 65nm annouce/release on Nov 12th, and phenom and core 2 extreme in Nov as well.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

$1000 for a processor is a little crazy for that low of an increase.

Just wait until Q1 2008 if you think $1000 is crazy...

QX9775 at 3.2GHz with 1600FSB is going to be priced at ~ $1499

Gotta satisfy those enthusiasts somehow! =p

Q6700 = Q9550 2.8GHz 12MB CACHE
$316 = Q9450 2.7GHz 12MB CACHE
Q6600 = Q9300  2.5GHz 6MB CACHE

E6850 = E8500 3.2GHz 6MB CACHE
E6750 = E8400 3.0GHz 6MB CACHE

and few more..

set to release January 2008.

So if you get the Q6600 and you overclock it, these new products don't mean much I take it? Unless the spec's are vastly different aside from the mhz.

These new ones have less/more cache depending on which one you purchase. And these are on 45nm fab process so they will produce less heat.

These are also faster compared to the 65nm chips. Intel have claimed that 3.0GHz 45nm will be faster than 3.0GHz 65nm...

The QX9650 has been overclocked by Tomshardware to 4.0GHz on air. These things are beasts...
