Updating Video driver question

There's a new beta video driver for the g force cards, 175.12.  My question is, can I just uninstall, reboot, install new driver, or should I use a program like Drivercleaner.net too?  I'd rather not if I don't have to use 3rd party software as part of the process, especially when it may delete registry entries etc. I may need.  How reliable is the regular process Nvidia recommends?

I'm not saying that this works for everyone, but I've never uninstalled a graphics driver before installing a new one.  I've always simply installed the new one over the existing one.  I've never had a problem doing that.  However, if you want to be sure all the planets are lined up, then by all means use a cleaner before installing the new one.

I always thought you just get a new one every couple months.
