It is definitely time for some upgrades for me, you can see my build in my signature. I am looking for some advice from the pros here
. Thinking of going new RAM(16 Gb) first, then new GPU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I mainly use my pc for gaming. I mostly play Heroes of the storm, XCOM 2, and Starcraft 2. I have noticed that I can no longer play any game that comes out on ultra settings. I want to hopefully fix that, lol. Edited by Justintime2kill - 26 Nov 2017 at 6:32pm |

I don't know about the PSU, but the GPU is a gtx 570.
Click on his sig banner and you will get a good picture of some of what he has. |

Sorry about that, I have a gtx 570 and a corsair tx750. I am currently at 1080p, looking to go 4k in the near future though.

Well for 4k for some games you need sli 1080 ti. You can't do that.
Go 1080 gtx and 1440p, the 1080 will do great in both 1080p and 1440p Edited by DST4ME - 27 Nov 2017 at 7:50am |

Thanks Dst, 1080 was what I was thinking. Any specific RAM I should be on the lookout for? Or versions of the 1080 that are better than others?

I'm in the same boat. I was thinking about buying new but have decided upgrading is just fine. Plan to switch out SLI 780 ti for a 1080 ti. Is there a reason not to spend the extra 100-200 and go with 1080 Ti? It's reported to be 35% faster than 1080 and may help future proof your system for a little longer.

No such thing as future proof.
Only get what you need if you are 1440p or higher at 100hz or higher then get 1080ti if you want, but if either of those are lower then 1080 ti is a waste of money |

Ram we like corsair for customer service and quality but still they just like most do not make their own ram. For gpu I love evga for customer service and quality. I stay away from sc editions and etc, i get the gamers version that is not OCed abd then if needed i oc it myself, keep in mind oc gives 5 to 10 fps not worth it IMHO. Thanks again Dst, corsair and evga is what I have now, lol. If I remember correctly, you were the one who helped me pick out my original build like 5 years ago, lol.
