Upgrade Advice

Up until this point, I have been fairly hands off with my gaming pc builds because I've been scared to mess something up. I have purchased two over the last 8 years through Digital Storm. My most recent purchase was two years ago through them and for the most part it has been great. I've noticed though that over the last few months my PC seems to have had some trouble with games released this year like Warzone. The games run okay for the most part but I definitely get significant fps drops. I want to try to upgrade my PC in order to future proof a bit for the next few years but I don't really know which parts I should upgrade first. I was wondering if anyone would be able to look at my specs below and tell me what areas I should focus on or even some suggestions for what I should get? I mainly play FPS titles like Apex/ Warzone / Division 2. Would also be able to run the upcoming Call of Duty smoothly.

* Processor- AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (6 core) 3.2 GHz
* Motherboard-ASUS/ MSI (AMD B35 Chipset) Up to 2x PCI_E Devices
* Graphics- GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
* RAM- 8 GB DDR4 2400MHz Digital Storm Performance Series
* Power Supply- 600W Digital Storm Performance Series
* Storage 1- 240GB Digital Storm SSD
* Storage 2- 2TB Seagate

Budget??

The generic listing for your motherboard from your list doesn't help much. When you got your rig, it came with a motherboard booklet that specifies which of the two brands they gave you. In that small manual, it should tell you what RAM speed your board is capable of, and will often provide a list of qualified vendors they recommend to use. I would recommend you upgrade to 16 GB of RAM, but not exceed your board recommendations. Get two 8 GB sticks. Should cost well under $100, like $60-80

Next, you seem to be experiencing some weakness in your GPU for the games you most want to play. The best budget upgrade would be a GTX 1660 SUPER. Not a 1660 plain, and not a 1660 Ti. The best price/performance upgrade is a 1660 SUPER for around $230-240. It is fully 24% faster/better than your card, and will help a lot.

If you have more to spend, you should consider an RTX 2060 available in a very strog EVGA brand right now at either Newegg or Amazon for $310. It is 43% faster than your card. You DO NOT need a 2060 SUPER.

Your CPU will perform just fine with either of these cards. While you could also upgrade the CPU someday, you don't need to do that to experience a great advance in your gaming right now.

If you have any trouble finding the RAM info, just ask any DS tech and they will tell you what you can get.

These are really easy upgrades to perform. There are videos all over to help you.
