Hello guys,

I got question about upgrading to windows 10. I am using Windows 7 that came with the Digital Storm computer. The windows 7 sticker on my case says OEM software. Will I be able to use this Windows 7 license and disc on a completely different computer since it will no longer be used? Or is it tied to the original computer/motherboard only?

The reason is I have an old Windows Vista computer that I wish to install windows 7 since I am planning on upgrading the digital storm computer to windows 10 and am wondering if I can put that copy to use on that old Vista computer.

I believe Win 10 uses that license from Win 7 and it is no longer valid for Win 7 unless you downgrade back to 7 on your Win 10 computer.

So you would not be able to move it and use it on another system.

OEM is tied to the motherboard so you can't use it on another PC.
