Upgrades during Stage 1

So, turns out while being on Stage 1, I kept on looking things up and added number of things to my order. All the people I have talked to were extremely helpful.

Now what I am curious is whether such upgrades change my spot on the queue. I was thinking whether that might be the case after seeing 10900k is backordered and changing the chassis from Lynx to Lumos.

I got the answer than we just need to wait and see about 10900k, but am wondering if changing from Lynx to Lumos has anything to do with when mine gets built.

I switched from lynx to lumos and it didnt seem to affect much, but then again they didnt really tell me if my wait was extended at all or for what reason. I changed things a couple times, a couple weeks apart.

The only thing to worry about is if you upgraded to a part that is in high demand/short supply... but at stage 1 that shouldn't be an issue AFAIK.

I changed my build like 3 times during Stage 1-2 and it didn't really affect it, but what Snaike says makes sense. I believe the 10900k (short supply) was waiting on it for some people. Once I switched over to the 3950x seemed to move pretty quickly because it was probably in stock.
