Topic: Upgrading GPU Posted: 08 Feb 2024 at 7:49pm |
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm wanting to upgrade my gpu from a GTX to a RTX. in the email and in my booklet sent by digital storm it says it supports up to a RTX 2070 so if I buy a RTX 2070 Super I should still be okay with the PC still running as normal ? Or would I have to buy a RTX 2060 super ? because my psu wouldn't be able to handle it? more specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-9700F @ 3.0 GHz MOBO: ASUS PRIME H310M-A R2.0 RAM: 32GB DDR4 Edited by CC - 08 Feb 2024 at 9:00pm |

You could get a 4060 and get better performance than a 2070 Super. And two generations improved. I would be wary of Super and Ti cards that may push your 600W just a bit too far. That said, the maker of the card you want will know, and that stat will be available at their website. Good hunting!

I second the recommendation of going with an RTX 4060 (or 4060 Ti).
Nvidia recommends a 550W PSU for the RTX 4060 family. The OuterVision Power Supply Calculator estimates <400W. So, your system's 600W PSU is fine. The RTX 4060 can be had for $285, MSI Ventus 2x on Amazon, whereas the RTX 4060 Ti is about $100 more, Asus Dual on Amazon. Edited by MrCheetah - 17 Feb 2024 at 10:02am |
