I was toying with bumping my ram up to 16 GB.

Obviously ram can impact overclocks so it has me worried.

It looks like my Ram is Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9. My understanding is that even adding a second set of the same ram can cause issues. I looked and see no way to buy 4x4GB module packs to try and not cause that problem.

How likely do you all think if I buy another set will I experience issues?

Would it be better to pay some more and try to buy it directly from DS.

Chances are you'll be fine.   Adding ram can impact oc but usually on higher oc settings. I would go to Crucial.com for example and use their memory finder tool. They guarantee results.   Just try to stay with same speed and timing, 9-9-9-24 as an example.

Looks like it is corsair ram so I was going to buy the exact same ram as i have now figuring it would make it less likely to cause issues.

Thank you for the response!
