DS buys in bulk and may change from one supplier to another. Mine came with two sticks of Patriot Viper Steel 16GB DDR4-3200 C16 RAM. But what yours will have may be different.

You don't (and probably won't ever) need more than 16 GB of RAM for gaming. The motherboard has 2 RAM slots, so to upgrade, you'd have to discard the 2 8GB sticks that come with it, and get 2 16GB sticks. Your mobo is limited to 2666 speed DDR4.

For almost every thing you do, the extra RAM will be idle. Whatever you think you need it for, I highly recommend you put this unit to use as is and see if you really need any more from it. It's a very good gamer at a very nice price.

I play Star Citizen (I know, I know, alpha for years.) and that game eats ram do to not being optimized, you want at least 16GB dedicated to that game alone.

I know other games will be fine. 😀

So you have 16GB of RAM, what's the problem?

Again, use it before you waste the RAM you paid for.
