Hi! I think it's probably time to assess upgrading my computer. I haven't had many performance issues. What upgrades would you recommend that I make?
Here's my system configuration. I use the computer for PC gaming and just general regular use. I don't play FPS, I play Star Wars: The Old Republic and modern games Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I use it with a steam link sometimes. What would you recommend? I would replace the gtx 960 with a gtx 1060 or better, depending on your budget and what resolution your monitor is. The 1060 would give you an average 50% bump in frame rates. A gtx 1070 would max anything on a 1080p monitor.

Hi! Sounds good. I was thinking that made sense as well. I'm not sure which version of the 1060 to get because there seem to be so many different versions. |

I'd suggest the 6GB for sure unless the budget is very tight. EVGA is a reliable brand, but a quick look on Amazon shows good reviews for several models.

Thanks! I'm thinking: upgrade the graphics card, replace the second harddrive with a 1 TB SSD since they aren't too expensive now. Would this one work? https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-6163-KR I know the one that's currently in has a 6 pin connector. Edited by prattam - 02 Nov 2018 at 9:38am |

Good take on the SSD.
I can't pick your card for you, but I personally would prefer one of the dual fan models, myself. It's gotta be cooler, cooler's gotta be better, IMHO. |
