Would it be worth selling my SLI 470's and getting 1 - 480 until i can afford to get another one? Or should i invest in the 5 series? Or should i wait until the next gens come out?

I'd keep your SLI 470s and wait until the next generation personally.

Hi police215,
Your 470s must be working if you are talking about selling them. SLI 470 to one 480 will be a reduction in performance. Why would you do that? Are you having a problem with heat? The 480 still has heat problems. If it was me there is no way I would get another 4xx series card. You still have a strong system for todays games. Why do you want to change? The best thing to do is wait until you can afford the new 6xx series of cards. Frank |

Thanks FrankW since its winter here in Ohio, I've had a lot of time to think about my system.
When it comes to the number behind each card, i have no idea what most of them means.
to answer your questions:
I dont want to reduce the performance
no heat issues: Although my computer sounds like a jet running when playing BF3 at max settings
And just looking to change things around in my system is all.
But overall looking for the advice as the best route to go, and being a forum member and customer for over 2 years, we have the best people to ask for advice and help out with any issues and problems.
