USB Headsets - frame rate impact?

How much do you think USB 5.1 headsets negatively impact frame rate?

I was high on getting the turtle beach AK-R8 until I saw this...

Personally I'm all for keeping things direct and simple. Why run your sound thru a USB when it runs directly via headset jack? The USB just adds more electronics in an unnecessary manner. There are surround headsets available that utilise standard audio outputs.

on gpu intesive games it shouldnt have much effect
on games that utilize the cpu more it might if you have a junker CPU
