HI, I just got my rig today, and everything except 2 of the front usb ports work fine. The 2 usb ports on the left side of the firewire input on the front of the case don't work. Any idea on what could be causing this?

If neither work, that's suspicious. Are they even hooked up?

Well, I took the top part off and checked the connections and it seemed alright, honestly don't know where else to check. Well out of the 4 usb ports on the front panel 2 work and the other 2 don't.

do you have a built in card reader?  There are only so many USB connections on a MOBO, so it is not uncommon to not be able to hook up all of the USB's on a case.

Yes I do have a card reader. I just wanted to know if there was soemthing wrong. It isn't that big of a deal, just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with connections or hardware.

then everything is normal, one USB header on the motherboard will run 2 USB ports on the case, and a card reader takes use of a header, and the classified has two.. so normal

That is correct.

Digital Storm is a custom system builder. We aren't like Dell/HP etc where we have exact cases/motherboards designed for each class of machine.

We offer customization and flexibility to our customers which could have this situation, however, you will always at least have 2 USB ports in the front.

This usually occurs mostly when you pick an internal media card reader which takes up one of the internal USB header ports. However, the card reader itself will come with a single front USB port, making your 2 USB ports into 3 front USB ports.
